Dr. Drew Cornwell is a board-certified Interventional Pain Management physician. He utilizes minimally invasive techniques and procedures that are specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions. By coordinating his own expertise and that of team members in other specialties and fields of health care he works to plan a full range of treatments and services for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain. His primary goal is to help patients return to the activities that bring them joy and meaning, without a heavy reliance on medications.

Dr. Cornwell has worked and trained with leaders in the Interventional Pain Management community through his fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and involvement in professional societies such as the American Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine and the North American Neuromodulation Society. Additionally, Dr. Cornwell is a board-certified Anesthesiologist who trained at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Beyond clinical duties he has co-authored textbook chapters, presented lectures at multiple academic medical centers and national conferences, as well as appeared on podcasts for the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Born and raised in Washinton State of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Cornwell now lives in Connecticut with his significant other and children. In his spare time he enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, hiking, and exploring the communities around New England.
