Current Status:
Partner OrthoConnecticut – In September 2017, David Kloth MD PC/Connecticut Pain Care merged with Danbury Orthopedics, New Milford Orthopedics and Coastal Orthopedics as part of OrthoCT. OrthoCT is a large multicenter musculoskeletal group with offices throughout western CT. The group offers comprehensive musculoskeletal care combining orthopedics, sports medicine, regenerative medicine and pain management.

May 1995–Present
Founder, President and Medical Director of Connecticut Pain Care, a Pain Management center for the treatment of acute and chronic pain. This service provides treatment for all forms of pain, including chronic benign (back pain, headaches, facial pain, etc.) and cancer pain. Modalities of treatment include medications, anesthetic blocks, implantable devices (spinal cord stimulators and subarachnoid infusion pumps), regenerative medicine (protein rich plasma injections and stem cell therapy), and minimally invasive disc surgery. An anesthesia based pain management service provides alternative treatment to standard medical and surgical care.

Spent three summers performing research in the Cardiovascular Experimental
Surgery Laboratory at the Berg Institute. In 1981 and 1982, studied vein graft patency following the use of various bathing solutions designed to prevent graft damage and platelet adherence. In 1984, gathered the information and statistical data for a retrospective study of sternal wound infections.
